Meteora! - wednesday, february 18, 2004 @ 12:13 p.m.
yes, the prologue and first section for Meteora is up for your review! feel free to critique away!
yes, i'm a bitch - tuesday, february 17, 2004 @ 11:52 a.m.
but do you like the new layout? because i slaved over it, let me tell you! i think it's quite nice, the red white and blue thing with all the big links had to go.
you'll notice (at least, i'm sure Cipir will) that some of the titles are gone. "To Take My Soul Away" to name one, "HUNT" to name another, and "Medius". "Shifter King" is also MIA, now that i think about it. so is the "Progress" page, which was a dumbshit idea in the first place.
what's new? a link to a LiveJournal page where i rant about my writing. pages for "Meteora" and "Down To Sleep". and the entire old version of "Trinity" now graces the pages. i html'ed that and put it up in one night. fear my mighty html skillz.
i'm going to go now.
new stuff! - wednesday, december 17, 2003 @ 01:24 p.m.
alright, so it's not what you're all expecting. deal with it. ^_^
today you'll find entries under the Short Stories section. one is a rewrite of "all of this for you" and the other is a new short story entitled "no such thing", which is a poemfic based on the poem "no such thing" which is also now on the site.
blah.
some familiar faces... - thursday, december 11, 2003 @ 01:08 p.m.
So yeah, I'm still a lazy bum and I still haven't updated anything worth speaking of. But I DID put up all six of the old Systematics episodes, so you at least have those to read if you get bored. Not that you couldn't have read them on the old page, but whatever. La la la and all that stuff.
my fingers hurt... - friday, december 5, 2003 @ 02:28 p.m.
... and my eyes hurt, and my head hurts, and I've done far too much HTMLing today for my own good. I need to go soak in the bath for a while.
Instead of listing the sick amount of stuff I redid, let's just say that if you click on the description pages for the stories that are already online, you will find newly written descriptions. So there. I also added the About The Author page. So there.
What do I have left to do? Info on Sys2, HUNT, Medius, and the old edition introductions to Systematics and Trinity. I have to put up the episodes of Systematics and the old version of Trinity. I have to add my schedule page, which will tell you what I'm working on. And I have to add some photos so you guys can see what I do with my camera. I'm boring, but I get some good pics occasionally.
Comment or I'll kill you in your sleep. Nobody in their right mind should spend this much time HTMLing shit.
under construction! - friday, december 5, 2003 @ 11:12 a.m.
How do you guys like the new look in progress? I was getting sick and tired of villagephotos.com making my pic X out on me, so I hauled them all off and just kept the pretty dragon.
I would really recommend downloading the new font! I have no idea what the page looks like with Arial links, but I'm sure they're not as nice as this funky style one I picked up.
So the Navigation bars have been completely retooled, with the major works listed on the left and the other links listed on the right. I like the larger layout, and sure, some of you may think it makes the pages look rather crowded, but my argument is that the majority of you copy and past the writing anyway so it's not my problem. *sticks tongue out* Nyah.
Right now I'm in the process of rewriting the story descriptions, updating the ratings (to R and higher, it seems, sheesh), and changing the fonts around. Retooling takes a while, but it's taking my mind off my Metal Whispers tumor at the moment.
On that note, E4 - Private Tortures is awaiting about 15,000 words to finish off... so quit nagging me! I told you that you would have it soon and I was serious! Oi!
Back to work I go... and yes, I'm hanging around the messageboard! I like to watch you guys go at it... ^_^
yes, yes, i hear you! - thursday, december 4, 2003 @ 09:19 a.m.
So I've been getting lots of emails asking me when I'm going to put up the new episode of Metal Whispers. Well, I'm working on it... *sheepish look*
Alright, alright, look, it's like this - I AM working on it, I swear, but I've been kind of caught up in other projects... *another sheepish look* Namely some TBoT stuff, and I've also been working on two other projects, one titled HUNT and another that's sort of a cross between Harry Potter and X-Men. Picture that, eh?
I have about 20,000 words or less to do in E4 of MW, and I swear I'll get it up online as soon as possible, okay? Guaranteed it will be before Christmas, hopefully much sooner!
oooh.... - monday, november 17, 2003 @ 1:11 p.m.
I'm very very very tired right now. I mean, very tired. So tired that I'm going to go back to sleep. But I wanted to let you know that I've already started the new Metal Whispers - Episode 4 - Private Tortures. Cool title, eh? I got that from a Bjork song. Seriously. It's called "Play Dead" and there's a line in there that says "It's almost just like sleeping, curling up inside my private tortures." And I'm going back to bed.
duh... - thursday, october 2, 2003 @ 12:27 p.m.
i was so caught up in my mindlessness yesterday that i neglected to mention there are two small sections of The Shifter King online for you to read.
and other than that, i'm a lazy bitch.
but i would like to take a moment to welcome Emma Louise Pells-Nairn to the world! my little cousin was born at 3:49 pm yesterday, entering the world at 10 lbs. 7 oz. with a full head of black hair. *grins* i went to see her today, she's absolutely beautiful.
and i'm going to get back to my writing now! some Summoners may be in the future, and maybe even some *gasp* Book of Talius if i can ever get my lazy ass around to working on it despite my Metal Whispers addiction.
can i get a woot woot?! - tuesday, september 30, 2003 @ 11:01 p.m.
yes, boys and girls, with only an hour left to go before October i have showered you all with a rather nice update - episode two of Metal Whispers, "Beneath the Shadow"!
*dances around all happy-like*
hope you guys like it, it's got a lot more action than the last ep, and the characters are actually fighting the enemy instead of each other! hehehe, that's more of a jab at Jeff and his band of GRA screwups than anything - everybody knows the UMF kicks ass... or do they?
hehehe, i'm a git, and i'm all happy that this ep is up! be sure to leave comments in the guestbook, i look forward to hearing your feedback on this one!
widdle updates... - tuesday, september 30, 2003 @ 03:06 p.m.
well, first of all, i want to send a HUGE thank you out to Donovan Fitzgerald, who recently drew an awesome pic of a Shifter for me! you can find the links to the pic either on the splash page for Systematics or the splash for The Shifter King. or, you can just click HERE and go see it! it's an awesome pic!
i also added banners to the links page, one that i made for Donovan's gallery and another that i've had lying around for my Systematics site. feel free to click away, and remember, if you have a banner you want displayed don't hesitated to hand it over (or ask me to make you one, or whatever!)!
writing updates to come soon, i'm hoping to have the next episode of Metal Whispers up really soon!
summoners! - monday, september 29, 2003 @ 04:42 p.m.
yep, after getting a bunch of emails from different readers commenting on how they'd like to see some more Summoners, i put some up. aren't you proud of me? i actually had that sitting around on the computer for the longest time - i just didn't realize it until i actually took a look at Summoners last night.
and if any of you are having trouble with the buttons not showing up, it's the stupid free site i have my images hosted on. just refresh the page and they should show up again.
*waves to Kelly if she's visiting*
alright, i lied... - monday, september 29, 2003 @ 10:15 a.m.
i went ahead and put in the info about The Shifter King. so there. i don't know what i'm trying to prove but i think i'm proving something. or not. or whatever. i'm going to go to work now. blech.
not really an update... - monday, september 29, 2003 @ 09:22 a.m.
heh.
yeah, yeah, i know, i'm a slacker bitch (and i'm listening to Placebo, can ya tell?). no posts in god knows how long and whatever.
what are the updates today? nothing exciting.
1. i lied. i made link buttons for myself. they're on the links page. if any of you have linked to me off your own page, let me know in the guestbook, i'll link you up right away. if you have a banner or a button of whatever, let me know where i can get that too. and SAVE THE BUTTONS TO YOUR OWN COMPUTER! i don't get much in the line of bandwidth off this free site i'm using. thanks.
2. edited the "about the page" thing and linked it and all. nothing exciting.
3. added the button but no information for another story, "The Shifter King". i'll get ya info on that soon. i have three days off coming up.
Surgery Day is fast approaching! only 17 days left to go... *shudders* the only nice thing this time around is that i don't have to go to any friggin appointments, they were such a pain in the ass for Jeff and i. so now i'm kind of trying to mellow out and take it easy.
see you all later!
*smacks herself* - friday, september 26, 2003 @ 04:58 p.m.
yes, i'm being a bad girl. i haven't updated in ages, and i'm sorry about that, i really am, but i've been having some trouble writing in the last few days. could have something to do with learning new piano music and getting a cracked version of the composing software Finale 2003. i also just installed Macromedia StudioWorks MX about four hours ago, so i have stuff to keep me busy.
as for writing, i haven't touched The Book of Talius in ages now and i'm starting to feel guilty. so seeing as Metal Whispers isn't really going anywhere, i think i might just turn to TBoT for my creative output.
so yeah, other than that, nothing to report. i've been feeling pretty crappy because of this damn back of mine, and work sucks. but i do have three and a half weekdays off a week now, which isn't bad, so there's really no excuse for not having any writing done.
as usual, take care, sign the guestbook, don't let the door hit ya where the lord split ya.
metal whispers! - thursday, september 18, 2003 @ 02:57 a.m.
yep, that's right, the first episode of the brand new version of Metal Whispers is finally online! hope you guys enjoy it!
i'm already getting a good start on episode 2, though i have no idea how long that's going to take... *laughs* but thanks to Jeff's endless encouragement (along with the threats that i better write faster) this is coming along really well!
copyright laws... - wednesday, september 17, 2003 @ 11:07 p.m.
a quick note before i continue editing Metal Whispers - E1 to put up...
i think this is something that will be of interest to a lot of my readers, seeing as a lot of you have online diaries. i recently came across a site called Copyright Button that gives you a java-based link to their site. when you place it on your diary (or website, or whatever) and enter your first and last name in the html tag, it will generate a LEGAL copyright page that declares the terms of usage to the person that clicks on it.
this service is absolutely free. a lot of people don't seem to realize that information they post online is copyrighted to them regardless of whether they have that little symbol or not. it even states it in the offical blogger's disclaimer, which can be found online.
for those of you that have public access diaries, especially ones where you post things like poetry and artwork, i cannot stress how important - and how simple - it is to get one of these links.
you can find the Copyright Button site at this site. take the five minutes. you'll be happy you did.
badaba... - monday, september 15, 2003 @ 09:51 p.m.
alright, i'm not making the buttons. nyah. *laughs* if anybody wants to link to me, go ahead. you know i love you.
so i added a new poem for my new friend Shelly. read it. read it! it's been a while since i've been able to write poetry - it felt damn good to do it too. daaaaaaaaaamn good. *grins* hope you like it, Shelly!
so i'm going to go write now and put up something. something! yes! *whaps herself* see, Jeff's working night shifts tonight. so... yeah. i'm going to write now.
buttons! buttons! - sunday, september 14 @ 02:02 p.m.
so yeah, no updates. blech. but i did add some pretty new buttons to the site. i like them. Dan likes them. so it's all good.
lately i've been doing some work on TBoT and Metal Whispers. my original edition of MW got completely and utterly scrapped, so i'm being forced to rewrite it. so maybe i'll have some up here soon. not like i have much to do other than write.
anybody that's interested in finding me online can catch me on ICQ - #103511153, nickname Talius. i'm not on all that often, but i will be on after about 10:00 pm Pacific time this monday and tuesday (tomorrow and the next day).
doing up some little buttons for anybody that wants to link to me. la la la. if you have any for your site as well, i welcome link exchanges! or even if you just want a link, i'll make a little button or banner for you.
sayonara!
http://yitai.diaryland.com - tuesday, september 11, 2003 @ 11:06 a.m.
domo!
i'm sure you guys thought you lost me, neh?
no, i'm still here, managing and all that stuff. it's been a rocky past couple of days but i'm pretty sure i'm going to be able to make it now.
many thanks to Eliza, Heather, and Shelly for signing my guestbook. that meant a lot. it's been hard to take this shocking news but having your support has made it that much better.
my goal over the next little bit is to get up more Talius (of course) and perhaps throw in some Metal Whispers and... *gasp* Systematics. we'll see. my brain isn't functioning all that well and, i hate to say it, i'm spending the majority of my time on the computer watching Trigun with Jeff. *bites her little finger Dr. Evil style*
so sayonara, i'll talk to you guys later!
i'm sure you've all heard by now... - tuesday, september 9, 2003 @ 10:18 p.m.
anybody that's visited my new manifesto - that little stream of consciousness that i wrote about half an hour ago - will know what's up, but for those of you who don't, i'll fill you in.
at a little after five today, i got a call from my doctor's office telling me that my surgery has been cancelled, with a reschedule due for sometime around october or november. needless to say this is devastating news - i've been bawling my eyes out for hours now, and even as i'm typing this i'm getting a little teared up. i was really depending on this surgery to help me out, but now it looks that i may have to wait up to two more months for it.
on the bright side - which Jeff is desperately encouraging me to find at the moment - i'll have much more time to work on my writing. chances are i won't really be in the mood, but i'm sure that i'll turn to it for solace sooner or later.
i want to thank all you guys for being so supportive through this entire thing. your kind words and good wishes have really made a difference through this dark time.
i'll talk to you all soon.
love, jenn
NEW TALIUS! - Tuesday, September 9, 2003 @ 01:02 a.m.
wow, i'm awesome!
alright, maybe i'm not awesome, but i did manage to get another chapter of The Book of Talius up online. in Section I, Cressica tried to convince Kazryn to join Talius in her quest. in Section II, we meet Prince Terryn and his servant dragon Rya, and in Section III our group leaves the lovely Starus Inn and heads off to Grisyn!
a big hello and thank you to Danny for signing my guestbook (and being the only one to sign it thus far, heh)! i've missed you, Danny boy!
there's a good chance i may get another entry up in the next few days, but please don't blame me if i don't! technically it's tuesday as i write this (though it still feels like monday) and that means my surgery is the day after tomorrow! yikes!
well, lookit this! - september 4, 2003 @ 10:32 a.m.
ring the bells and sound the trumpets, there's a new chapter of The Book of Talius up! *dances around all proud of herself*
this chapter, like all the others, has three parts. in Part I, we find Cressika giving Talius a reading from the Great Deck (and a little quote from Eliot in there for fun, see if you can spot it!). Part II has Kazryn meeting up with the rest of our merry group, and Part III introduces the character Kao Hoggis, who i'm sure a lot of you will like!
enjoy!
as threatened... - september 3, 2003 @ 02:29 p.m.
there is now a link to a whole whack of my "poetry" on the site... *cackles evilly*
and no, i didn't do any writing in the span of time that i was doing that. so there. *sticks her tongue out*
though i might try to get the next section of... *gasp* The Book of Talius up before i head off to work tonight. no promises. but you all knew that already.
okay, okay, so i lied... - september 3, 2003 @ 01:55 p.m.
yes, i'm a filthy, filthy liar. the big update that i promised for the end of August is nowhere to be seen. but i ask you, those of you who actually know my writing style, is that any surprise? *grumbles at her deadline even though it was self-imposed*
surgery worries are a little high on my list of forced priorities and all, so i've been writing very little these past days. hopefully i'll be able to churn something out today or tomorrow, maybe friday... can i just hope to get something up before i go in for surgery? *hopes everybody is forgiving*
actually, come to think of it, i'm going to go add a poetry section. so there. i can subject you all to my ghastly poetry. *grins*
erm... pardon the lack of updates.. - august 22, 2003 @ 11:45 a.m.
so yeah, this whole surgery dealy is really screwing up my writing. i'm not getting a whole lot of time to get at the computer between being on the phone to make doctors appointments, working, and trying to spend a little time with Jeff. hence the reason there have been NO updates lately.
chances are there'll be very little throughout September. i was hoping to throw a nice chunk of SOMETHING out by the end of August, but that's looking doubtful. so don't hold your breath on it, alright?
so that's the bad news. the good news is that after i'm back on my feet - so to speak - i'll be waiting for a while to go back to school and will be devoting a lot of time to my writing. hopefully... *crosses her fingers*& i'll be able to get TBoT finished up! hopefully, that is, hopefully...
so yeah, until this surgery thing is over, updates will be sporadic at best. but rest assured, there's more coming!
